Today, the company located in the green valleys of the Republic deals with studying and creating mechanical solutions in the motorcycle field that encompass the artisan tradition by combining it with technology. From consultancy to the purchase of motorcycles, to their restoration, from the creation and sale of customized components, to timeless craftsmanship. Con 75 campionati del mondo (piloti e costruttori), 270 vittorie nei Gran Premi e più di 3000 vittorie in gare internazionali, il record di gare di MV Agusta non ha eguali tra le case motociclistiche italiane.
L’elenco dei campioni del mondo della MV include alcuni dei più grandi nomi di questo sport, con Carlo Ubbiali, John Surtees, Mike Hailwood, Giacomo Agostini e Phil Read che hanno vinto più volte. Accanto alle magnifiche moto da corsa, la MV ha prodotto un’ampia gamma di modelli stradali, comprese le esotiche moto a quattro cilindri basate sui Gran Premi degli anni ’50 e dei primi anni ’60.
Dopo la chiusura nel 1977, la MV Agusta è stata rilanciata dalla Cagiva nel 1997 e ha prodotto la F4 a quattro cilindri progettata da Massimo Tamburini. Inizialmente con 750 cc, questa si è evoluta in 1000 cc e la serie Brutale. Nel 2012 la tre cilindri F3 si è unita all’F4 e da queste due piattaforme è cresciuta una vasta gamma di modelli.
Con una passione di 50 anni per le motociclette italiane, l’autore racconta l’intera storia della MV Agusta, coprendo tutti i modelli stradali e da corsa dal 1945.
